From Dream to Association
How Inspiring Girls Switzerland Took Shape
Behind every movement is a story, and ours started with a simple but powerful belief: girls should grow up feeling free to dream without limits.
Our journey began in August 2021, when Inspiring Girls — a global initiative dedicated to raising girls’ aspirations by connecting them with real role models — officially planted its roots in Switzerland. From those first conversations with passionate volunteers, we quickly saw how much was possible when girls met women who could show them the breadth of what life can be.
In October 2021, we welcomed our first Swiss Young Ambassador, who helped shape our early activities and brought fresh energy to our growing community. A few months later, in December 2021, we held our first in‑school session in Zurich; a joyful and eye‑opening experience that brought our mission into classrooms and hearts.
But for us, impact also demanded structure. Behind the scenes, we were navigating Swiss legal processes, a journey that many founders know well: forms, statutes, deadlines, and fine print. This was where the support of LALIVE truly made a difference.
Legal Support That Changed Everything
Thanks to pro bono guidance from LALIVE’s team of lawyers, we were able to transform our grassroots campaign into an official Swiss association under Swiss law in September 2022. Their expertise helped us understand the legal framework, draft governing documents, and walk us step‑by‑step through the registration process — all with encouragement and clarity. While launching a non‑profit can feel intimidating, LALIVE’s commitment to supporting civil society helped turn our “how do we do this?” into a “we did it!”.
From Here On
Since that official recognition, we’ve continued expanding: running events like speed networking, collaborating with partners in corporate and education sectors, and bringing more role models into classrooms where they can share their journeys and inspire the next generation.
Our story is still being written but today it stands on a firm foundation of purpose, community, and support from people and organisations who believed in us early on.
